Women for Peace

The vision of the Women for Peace program is for women to be at the forefront of building a peaceful society. Although women make up almost half of our world's population, they are disadvantaged in various aspects of our society. Equality is the prerequisite for peace in any society. We have therefore set ourselves the goal of advancing gender equality and creating an environment in which women make an active contribution to shaping a peaceful society. In doing so, the Women for Peace program pursues a number of goals.

One of these is to strengthen unity and community among all women. What is meant is an inclusive process of exchange and learning from each other by all women of different ages, origins and religious affiliations. Therefore, in our women's café, women have the opportunity to get to know each other and create a network by supporting each other. On the other hand, we have set ourselves the goal of strengthening the active shaping of society by women for peaceful coexistence. We strive for a gender equitable society in which women not only participate equally, but also contribute equally to making the world a peaceful place where everyone can live in peace and harmony. We believe that women's perspective is essential for building progressive and peaceful societies. Last but not least, the goal of our Women for Peace program is to strengthen equal dialogue between men and women. Equality can never come about by separating the group of women from the rest of society, but only through exchange between all groups in society. Our activities therefore aim to provide a platform for dialogue in which the issues of equality between the sexes can be discussed and worked on.
